It’s also important to use flux when soldering a circuit board; flux is a chemical compound that helps ensure a strong bond between components and prevents oxidation from occurring.

With the right solder, technique, and flux, a reliable circuit board can be created. This is why solder is an essential part of circuit board design and assembly. Without it, there would be no way to ensure a solid connection between components and the board would be prone to damage.
